Do your fingers itch to be thrust into earth? Do your trips to the supermarket invariably end in a few more flora purchases? Are you secretly a little happy when it rains, since the plants love it? Well, do I have an event for you. As the CNRG posting below announces, the 2009 Naturescaped Yards Tour is coming up on May 31. If your thumb is green, you probably already know that nearly anything will grow here. Still, native plants are always a good idea. Some native species are threatened , due to factors like habitat loss. Also: I have learned that one of the houses on this year's tour is in Foster-Powell, near 52nd. In case you're interested in seeing the pride and joy of this Fo-Po naturescaper, note that registration closes on Thursday. Read on to learn more, directly from the CNRG posting.
